Professor Robert Stein
On February 20 meeting will feature Rice University professor, author, and pundit Robert Stein. Professor Stein will talk about his predictions for the upgoming 2012 elections.
Robert Stein is the Lena Gohlman Fox professor of political science at Rice University, and is an expert on urban politics and public policy. He is co-author of Perpetuating the Pork Barrel: Policy Subsystems and American Democracy (1995, Cambridge University Press), and author of Urban Alternatives: Public and Private Markets in the Provision of Local Services (1990, Pittsburgh Press). His work has also appeared in a wide range of scholarly journals.
Professor Stein is well known to Houston-area television viewers for his pre-and post-election commentaries.
The meeting will be held at Fadi’s Mediterranean Grill at 4738 Beechnut across from Meyerland Plaza. Dinner is at 6:30 p.m. and the meeting starts at 7 p.m. There is no charge to attend, but attendees pay for their own food and drinks.
